Our Colorado optometrist and the team at Alpine Vision is proud to offer LASIK evaluation and post-op care at our three offices in Falcon, Colorado Springs, and Windsor. If you're been considering LASIK surgery to correct your vision but aren't sure if you're a viable candidate, scheduling an evaluation with Alpine Vision is your first step to a potentially life-changing procedure!
Many people who consider having LASIK eye surgery do so because they are tired of wearing corrective lenses, including glasses and contact lenses. With a LASIK procedure, vision problems like myopia, hyperopia, and astigmatism can be corrected utilizing state-of-the-art, precise laser technology. When all is said and done, you may be able to ditch the glasses and contacts for good!
Of course, not everybody is a viable candidate for LASIK, which is why we offer LASIK eye surgery evaluation right here in our office. During this appointment, our optometrist will take the time to review your patient history and conduct a full assessment of your eye and vision health. Ultimately, this will allow our optometry team to determine whether or not you're a viable candidate for the procedure.
If you are a candidate, we can also provide you with a referral to a local LASIK center that is reputable and experienced. From there, you can meet with the surgical staff to confirm your viable candidacy for the procedure and schedule your surgery.
Even once your LASIK surgery is completed, you are strongly encouraged to seek follow-up care with our experienced team. These follow-up appointments are the key to making sure your eyes are healing properly after the procedure and that you are able to maximize the vision benefits of your surgery. Generally, we will recommend that you schedule your first LASIK post-operative care appointment with us the day following your LASIK procedure. From there, we'll ensure that everything is healing properly and continue to have you come in for follow-up appointments throughout the next six months to one year.
These follow-up appointments also provide you an excellent opportunity to ask any questions you may have about your recovery, as well as voice any potential concerns. Our experienced and skilled eye care team will take the time to carefully address any concerns and answer any questions thoroughly to ensure you are comfortable. Furthermore, these appointments give us the opportunity to make sure that the long-term results of your procedure are optimized so you can enjoy your improved vision for a long time to come.
If you're thinking about LASIK or would simply like to find out more about what our pre- and post-operative appointments would entail, we are happy to meet with you and answer any questions you may have. Feel free to contact Alpine Vision at any of our three area locations to schedule your appointment with us!
